Former world boxing champion Ricky Hatton found dead

Ricky Hatton, the former world boxing champion who became one of the sport's most popular fighters, has died at the age of 46.
Hatton was found dead at his home in Greater Manchester, Britain's Press Association reported yesterday. Police said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
“Officers were called by a member of the public to Bowlacre Road, Hyde, Tameside, at 6:45 a.m. today (Sunday), where they found the body of a 46-year-old man,” Greater Manchester Police said. “There are currently no suspected suspicious circumstances.”
Hatton's friends rushed to pay tribute yesterday morning.
“Today we lost not only one of Britain’s finest boxers, but a friend, a mentor, a warrior, Ricky Hatton,” former world champion Amir Khan wrote on X.
“May the legend Ricky Hatton rest in peace,” said former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in an Instagram post, featuring photos of the two together.
"There will only be one Ricky Hatton. I can't believe he's so young," he added.— AP
