Miami. Xavier Edwards hit a two-run single in the ninth inning to tie the game and advanced to home plate to score the winning run on a grounder by Dominican Agustín Ramírez, as the Marlins rallied to beat the New York Yankees 13-12.

Edwards got his hit off new Yankees reliever Camilo Doval (4-3). Giancarlo Stanton and Trent Grisham hit three-run homers to help the New York team build a 9-4 lead before the Marlins stunned them.

On the other hand, Freddie Freeman hit a home run for the second consecutive game and drove in three runs, Clayton Kershaw allowed five hits in six innings and the Los Angeles Dodgers blanked the Tampa Bay Rays 5-0, who yesterday placed Mexican first baseman Jonathan Aranda on the 10-day injured list due to a fractured left wrist, following a collision last Thursday with Yankees batter Giancarlo Stanton.
