River had its party in La Boca: it beat Xeneize in the futsal Superclásico.

River Plate had its day at La Boca . The 'Millonario' defeated 'Xeneize' 2-1 and ended a 17-year streak of not being able to win a Superclásico, thanks to a superb performance by their goalkeeper and captain, Patricio Aguirre.
After a goalless first half, Iván Curet opened the scoring for the visitors with a left-footed shot at the start of the second half in a Benito Quinquela Martín sports center packed with 1,500 Boca fans.
Both before and after, the figure of "Pato" Aguirre grew, even saving a penalty from Lautaro Yáñez's shot, when Millonario was playing with two less due to the expulsions of Julián Caamaño - who had scored the second goal - and Eliseo Romero.
A goal from Tierra del Fuego's own Yáñez gave the home side, coached by Sebastián Mareco, hope for a draw to extend their winning streak against their biggest rival.
But Aguirre was the hero of the night, and River Plate—led by Mauro Riente—took a historic victory to secure their first victory over Boca Juniors since returning to the top flight this season.
It was the third match of 2025, where Xeneize took the Super Cup title at the beginning of the year and tied with River at home.
It was the first matchday of the second round of a long, 34-match tournament, in which the top eight teams will play in the playoffs for the title.
With this result, River reached fourth place with 37 points, one less than Boca.
