Zapopan Gravel 2025 in La Primavera was a complete success.

Zapopan Gravel 2025 in La Primavera was a complete success.

In a day filled with adrenaline, nature, and competition, cyclist Alfredo Castillo was crowned champion of the Zapopan Gravel 2025, held this Sunday in the heart of La Primavera Forest. With a time of 3 hours, 32 minutes, and 42 seconds, Castillo beat Gerardo Ulloa by just one second, who crossed the finish line in 3:32:43 after the demanding 90-kilometer course.

In the women's race, Brenda Santoyo was the fastest, stopping the clock at 4:28:22, just 11 seconds ahead of Arianna Tucci, who finished in 4:28:33, in an equally close and exciting competition.

The event brought together 580 cyclists, who participated in various categories: Gravel (90 km), Mountain (60 km), and E-Bike (30 km) . Participants faced technical and challenging terrain, due to recent rains that increased the difficulty level. Despite this, the atmosphere was one of enthusiasm and healthy competition.

“It was a very fun, technical, and challenging course. It was truly a very comprehensive event, and it's great that Zapopan hosts this type of event,” Castillo said at the end of the competition, acknowledging the organization's efforts and the natural beauty of the surroundings.

For his part, Salvador Villaseñor , Zapopan's coordinator of Economic Development and Combating Inequality, celebrated the strong turnout and emphasized that the municipality is consolidating its position as a benchmark for road, mountain, and gravel cycling in the country.

The event was also attended by Haidee Viviana Aceves , council president of the Sports Commission, as well as state and municipal authorities who supported this third edition of Zapopan Gravel.
