“The first six steps on a path filled with answers. What now? is the question we should ask ourselves every day. And now I just want to hear your answers,” Alejandro Sanz wrote on his X account. It’s worth mentioning that the song was first released during rehearsals for Shakira’s first show on her US tour, “Women No Longer Cry World Tour,” in Charlotte on May 13, 2025.
According to Sanz, What Now? is a title born from the idea of an everyday phrase, something that lives with us and becomes a poetic quest. What Now? answers the curious, the question of the fighter and the nonconformist. "What now?" is the question directed at all those who are never satisfied with the easiest thing. What Now? is Alejandro Sanz's musical response in 2025.
