In a statement published on the District Administration website, Carlos Fernando Galán, Mayor of Bogotá, stated: "Since we arrived, we have been working to advance Bogotá's Social Policy, so that it can enter a new phase that will better serve the populations that require this support, and so that it can be transformed according to the new realities of the city."

The president mentioned that he expanded his coverage to 10,000 additional households following the elimination of the "Colombia sin Hambre" program by the National Government.

"The goal of this government's social policy is to reach the people most in need, and in a timely manner. For us in Bogotá, it's important to ensure that support arrives every month without delay," the official stated.
