According to Moltiply, Google's abuse of market power has previously been recognised by the Court of Justice of the EU.

Moltiply runs the popular Italian price comparison site Trovaprezzi.it. The company says Google's actions hindered the growth of its subsidiary 7Pixel between 2010 and 2017 , favoring its Google Shopping, Reuters reported.

In 2017, the European Commission fined Google, the world's most popular search engine, for using its own price comparison service to gain an unfair advantage over smaller European rivals.

Recently, there have been many lawsuits against the company's practices. In mid-April, a class action lawsuit was filed against the company in a British court . Its authors are seeking the equivalent of $6.6 billion, among other things, for using its almost exclusive position in the online search market to raise advertising prices.

Also in mid-April , the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) ordered Google to cease monopolistic practices involving the enforcement of preferential treatment for its services on Android devices.

A few days later, a US federal judge ruled that Google had monopolized the online advertising market . According to the court, the US tech giant "knowingly engaged in a series of anti-competitive conduct" and caused "significant harm" to its customers.

At the end of February, the Court of Justice of the EU ruled that Google's blocking of access to the Android system for apps for drivers could be considered an abuse of its dominant market position.
