Van de Ven's acrobatic save is important: Spurs win Europa League

Micky van de Ven prevented Tottenham Hotspur from losing a lead in the Europa League final victory over Manchester United (1-0) with an acrobatic move. Rasmus Højlund headed the ball into the empty net after a mistake by the Spurs goalkeeper. But Van de Ven saved the day just before the goal line with a half-volley.
"I fell on my back and that really hurt," Van de Ven said shortly after the final whistle on Ziggo Sport.
'Was it worth it'"But this was worth it. This is really unbelievable. When I came to this club, everyone joked that they never win a trophy. But we won the Europa League. I can play in the Champions League next year."
Tottenham Hotspur won their first trophy since 2008, when they won the League Cup. The last European trophy came in 1984, when the London club won the UEFA Cup.
