A bundle with a surprise. His nervous behavior gave him away.

It was an ordinary afternoon. On Tuesday, August 19th, residents of Żmigród were returning from work, shopping, and others were strolling along the streets. Among them, the police noticed one man. Upon seeing a marked police car, he abruptly turned around and began walking in the opposite direction.

His movements betrayed tension, and the way he tried to disappear from the officers' field of vision struck them as suspicious. They detained him and checked his ID. Even during the conversation, it was clear that something was wrong—the 31-year-old avoided eye contact, responded curtly, and was clearly nervous.

Moments later, everything became clear. During a personal search, officers found a small package of white powder in his jacket pocket. A quick test conducted at the police station confirmed it was amphetamine—an illegal psychotropic substance.

The resident of our district was immediately detained and taken to the Żmigród Police Station. Further proceedings were conducted there. The man will now face charges of possession of narcotics, which, according to the Drug Prevention Act, can result in a penalty of up to three years in prison. Photo: Trzebnica Police Headquarters.
