A new tourist attraction is opening in the Polish mountains. It's as tall as a skyscraper
The diameter of the tower's base is 10 meters and widens upwards to reach a diameter of 15 meters at the crown. A spiral platform leads to the top of the structure, which increases its accessibility for people using wheelchairs.
The tower offers breathtaking views of the Wałbrzych Mountains, the Kamienne Mountains with the highest peak of this range, Waligóra, the Karkonosze Mountains, the Ślęża and Sokółka massifs, and in good weather – also the distant Śnieżka. At a distance of about 500 meters there is an older, almost twice as low and still functioning observation tower, which was erected on the top of Dzikowiec in 2014.
The tower is accessible 24/7 – and completely free of charge. The facility manager warns against climbing the tower in adverse weather conditions. The facility can accommodate a maximum of 50 people at a time.
