The foundation act for the new school was laid

On Wednesday, June 25, a ceremonial groundbreaking ceremony was held at the construction site of the new Primary School in Wisznia Mała. The event gathered many invited guests, representatives of local government, educational authorities and the investment contractor.

The ceremony was led by the deputy mayor of the Wisznia Mała Commune Jarosław Głowacki, and the foundation act – a document expressing common concern for the development of education – was signed by, among others: the mayor of the Wisznia Mała Commune Jakub Bronowicki, the Lower Silesian Education Superintendent Ewa Skrzywanek, the school principal Piotr Zaleski, the chairwoman of the parents' council Aniela Orlik, representatives of the student government Kalina Maliczowska and Witold Kusztelak, the village head of Wisznia Mała Joanna Moszonka-Śmigiel, the chairwoman of the commune council Małgorzata Ottenbreit, councilor Zdzisław Łakomski and the deputy president of the general contractor – PRE-FABRYKAT Sp. z oo from Karpacz Stanisław Tomkiewicz.

After signing the act, the document, along with other mementos – the newspaper, current coins and students’ signatures – was placed in a metal tube. This was inserted into a concrete block. Each participant had the opportunity to symbolically apply mortar to it with a trowel. Then, using a crane, the block was ceremoniously lowered into a prepared excavation on the construction site.

The ceremony was also an opportunity to see the progress of the construction. Guests could see the already erected walls of the new facility. The event was also attended by employees of the commune, directors of other schools and representatives of subordinate organizational units. The commune was also represented by the head of the Investment Department Sławomira Misiura-Hermann and the head of the department Joanna Kubacka.

The construction of a new school is one of the most important investments in the history of the Wisznia Mała Commune. The facility will meet all modern educational standards, providing comfortable conditions for learning and development for students. The facility will be equipped with modern classrooms, a library and reading room, thematic rooms, recreation rooms and a multimedia auditorium with a stage. The building will also house a canteen with full catering facilities, a medical and dental office and administrative rooms. Space for kindergarten classes and "0" classes has also been planned.

The total area of ​​the educational part will exceed 4,500 m². The contractor of the investment is PRE-FABRYKAT Sp. z oo from Karpacz. Its total value is PLN 31,941,870, of which PLN 14,359,020 for the first stage and PLN 17,582,850 for the second. For the implementation of the project, the Wisznia Mała commune obtained funding from the government program Polski Ład in the amount of PLN 11,900,000. Laying the foundation act is not only a symbolic beginning of a new stage - it is also an expression of the joint commitment of the local community to the future of children and youth. Soon, the residents of the commune will be able to enjoy a modern school, which will become an educational center.
