Aphids have no chance – home remedies that work

These little pests can weaken even the most beautiful plants in a few days. They suck the juices from the leaves, leaving them wrinkled and sticky with honeydew. Instead of reaching for chemicals, try proven, natural methods – safe for people, animals and bees.
Soda and garlic at the forefront
Make a simple spray with soda - dissolve 1 teaspoon of soda in 2 liters of water, add a few drops of dishwashing liquid and spray the plants with it. Garlic extract will be even more effective - chop 2-3 cloves, pour 900 ml of water and leave for a day. Before use, dilute it with water in a 1:1 ratio.
The power of herbs: nettle, dandelion, tansy
Pour 10 liters of water over 1 kg of fresh nettle and leave for 24 hours. Spraying will not only kill aphids, but will also prevent fungal diseases. You can also prepare liquid manure – leave the nettle for 2–3 weeks, stir daily and dilute 1:20 before use. An infusion of dandelion (400 g of leaves/10 l of water) or tansy is also effective – pour 10 l of water over 300 g of fresh herb, leave for 24 hours and dilute 1:2.
Effectively and immediately
If aphids attack suddenly, prepare a decoction of onion - boil 1 kg in 10 liters of water for 30 minutes. After straining, the spray is ready. You can also reach for a mixture with vinegar: 100 ml of vinegar per 1 liter of water plus a few drops of dishwashing liquid. However, avoid spraying the flowers - they are too delicate. Classic gray soap will also be a good solution: dissolve 20 g in warm water, cool and apply.
Use natural sprays regularly – preferably in the morning or evening. You will see the effects after a few days. No chemicals, no harm to the garden – and with a clear conscience.
