Robert Lewandowski, who missed the league opener with an injury, was already in the squad on Saturday but was benched. It seemed he would be called up immediately after the break. Flick made two changes, but Dani Olmo and Gavi were substitutes.

The locker room must have been heated, and the shock therapy paid off, as Barcelona needed just three minutes to equalize. Pedri scored first with a spectacular shot from outside the box, and Torres equalized moments later.

Lewandowski came on fifteen minutes before the end, but it wasn't him who took the lead – although he played a decisive role in the match – but Unai Elgezabal. The Levante defender made an unfortunate save that he beat his own goalkeeper.
