Glass in water or dangerous pollen? The latest warnings from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS).

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate periodically issues warnings regarding irregularities related to food available in stores. These warnings should not be ignored, as inattentive purchases can result in health problems and serious complications.
August saw no shortage of GIS notifications regarding unsafe food products. One of these involved water containing glass.
Glass in a bottle. Authorities sound the alarm.The issue concerns "Krystynka," a carbonated mineral water sold in a 330-milliliter bottle. The drink is produced by Uzdrowisko Ciechocinek SA. The irregularities were detected in two batches:
- ES142 (best before date: May 22, 2026),
- ES153 (best before date: June 2, 2026).
According to the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, the violations were discovered as a result of consumer complaints and official verification at the plant manufacturing the affected product. Due to the risk of swallowing glass fragments , the company advised against consuming the affected product batches.

The Ciechocinek Spa has already informed its contractors about the situation. The unsafe "Krystynka" water bottles are being withdrawn from sale under the supervision of the sanitary inspection.
Another dangerous discovery in foodThis isn't the only food-related alert in recent weeks. The "Zdrowe Pola" pollen from Joyfood also poses a threat. Experts from the National Institute of Public Health (PZH) have determined that batches 02.2027 1/27.03.25-4-094 and 02.2027 1/27.03.25-6-094 exceeded the permissible level of pyrrolizidine alkaloids , the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS) reported. In this case, the product has also been withdrawn from sale.

The problem also affects another type of pollen produced by the Sądecki Bartnik Apiary. The concentration of pyrrolizidine alkaloids in this product was found to be too high. The authorities are investigating the matter, and batch 1/1, with a best-before date of December 13, 2026, is being removed from stores.
Asian spices harmful to healthAllergy sufferers will be interested in the warning regarding products exported to Europe by Thy Long Production Trading and imported by the Dutch Beagley Cooperman NL Heuschen & Schrouff Oriental Foods Trading BV.
The warning applies to spices and stock cubes for soups (75 g), including pho (vegan and with chicken), Thai, bun bo hue, hu tieu and crab soup.
All batches were found to contain undeclared allergens . Consumption may result in a serious reaction. The Inspectorate recommends that individuals allergic to soy protein, crustaceans, and fish avoid consuming these products.
In August, it was also reported that salmonella had been detected in free-range eggs produced by Invest Michel (weight class M, freshness class A). This refers to a batch with a minimum shelf life of August 12, 2025, and the shell code 1PL30031310. Anyone who has handled this product and notices symptoms of poisoning should seek medical attention .
