Cheaper energy with this document. Deadline is June 30. Then correction

- Companies that benefited from maximum electricity prices in the second half of 2024 have until June 30 to submit or correct information about assistance to their energy supplier.
- In Tauron, nearly 80 percent of business customers have done so so far.
- The company reminds other companies that the lack of this document means that energy settlements must be corrected according to the prices in the sales agreement.
- For your convenience, Tauron has provided an interactive form and a guide that shows you how to fill it out quickly and easily.
The maximum price for electricity, which was used in settlements with the company from July 1 to December 31, 2024, is public aid or so-called de minimis aid. This results from the Act of May 2024 on the energy voucher and on the amendment of certain acts in order to limit the prices of electricity, natural gas and district heating.
Every micro, small or medium-sized entrepreneur who benefited from the maximum electricity price during this period must submit information about the aid to their electricity seller.
This obligation applies to micro, small or medium-sized entrepreneurs who used the maximum price of electricity at the level of PLN 693 per MWh. The necessity for entrepreneurs to submit information results from the fact that the maximum price of electricity, which was used in settlements, is a type of public aid or de minimis aid.
It is worth remembering that if the company does not provide information about the aid by June 30 of this year, the settlements for the period from July 1 to December 31, 2024 will have to be corrected , by restoring the prices from individual agreements, instead of the maximum price. This means that the energy seller will have to add to the company's invoices the difference between the maximum price and the price resulting from individual business agreements, along with interest .
We remind entrepreneurs that they have until June 30 this year to submit the necessary document and we encourage them not to leave it until the last minute. Completing the electronic form takes only a few minutes and allows the company to keep the statutory electricity price for the second half of 2024.
– says Daniel Iwan, Spokesperson of Tauron Sprzedaż .
- Since the beginning of the year, we have been informing our Clients about this statutory requirement for companies, including through emails, text messages, postal correspondence and media releases. We encourage companies that have not yet submitted the document to use the interactive form on our website - he adds.
Without a declaration, electricity bills will be adjustedThe declaration must be submitted:
- on the appropriate form,
- in electronic form,
- by letter,
- or in person at the customer service point of the relevant energy seller.
Failure to submit the information on time will mean that the entrepreneur's settlement with the seller for the second half of 2024 will be corrected, instead of the maximum price, the prices resulting from the entrepreneur's agreement with the seller will be applied , and additionally statutory interest will be charged - the Ministry of Climate reminds.
