The patron of Primary School No. 2 in Oborniki Śląskie is 2nd Lt. Józef Krysiński. Although he was a member of the Home Army, his contribution to its activities is questionable. After the war, he served in the Polish People's Army as an adjutant to General Świerczewski - a staunch communist. The IPN, citing the decommunization act, obliged the commune to change the patron.

Wikipedia actually states that he joined the Home Army. While in the structures of the "Siedlce" Inspectorate, he graduated from the underground school of AK cadets. After the end of the war, he joined the Polish People's Army and became a soldier in the 34th Infantry Regiment, belonging to the 8th Infantry Division stationed in Sanok. On March 28, 1947, during an inspection of Lieutenant General Karol Świerczewski in southeastern Poland, he served as an adjutant. At that time, near Jabłonki, he was fatally shot in an ambush organized by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. He was then just over 20 years old. He was posthumously awarded the Order of the Cross of Grunwald, Class III, which was awarded to him by President Bolesław Bierut. He also received the Cross of Valor.
