Hot atmosphere after the debate. "There are limits"

Hot atmosphere in the Polsat News studio after the presidential debate. Politicians discussed, among other things, Karol Nawrocki's words, who stated that in 2015 in Ukraine "there was no war yet". During the program "Debata Gozdyra" there was also a clash between the host and Błażej Poboży, who interrupted and spoke off-topic.

During the debate Karol Nawrocki said that in 2015 in Ukraine "there was no war yet". Rafał Trzaskowski corrected him and said that in 2014 "there was already a war". - The occupation of Crimea was already a war. You don't even know it - said the KO candidate.

In the program "Debata Gozdyra" guests commented on this exchange of words and assessed whether Nawrocki's words were the result of ignorance or a slip of the tongue.

Błażej Poboży from the Chancellery of the President said that it was only a slip of the tongue resulting from "the pace of the discussion". - Karol Nawrocki has proven through his statements, experience, professional and scientific activity that he takes excellent care of our memory and identity. Therefore, making accusations against him seems very misguided - said Poboży.

Agnieszka Gozdyra reminded us that this is the second time that Karol Nawrocki has failed to demonstrate his historical knowledge. Earlier, on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the Polish Crown, he was unable to say how long Bolesław the Brave ruled after his coronation.

- The baggage of slips of the tongue, misstatements, untruths, lies and other defects and deficits in Rafał Trzaskowski's statements is so abundant in this campaign - replied Błażej Poboży, assuring that these were Karol Nawrocki's only mistakes in the entire campaign.

- One slip of the tongue cannot affect the assessment of the entire activity in the area, especially in the one in which Karol Nawrocki's activities are a series of successes. I think that anyone who is familiar with this matter has no doubts - said Błażej Poboży.

Coming out of the debate, Nawrocki was asked about it by journalists. He said that he meant a full-scale conflict.

Bartłomiej Pejo from the Confederation said that it was "of less importance whether Karol Nawrocki made a slip of the tongue". - He was probably thinking about a full-scale war. But it is not my role to defend Karol Nawrocki here - he said, adding that the issue of migrants from Ukraine was a more important issue.

The topic of the migration pact was raised later in the program. Agnieszka Gozdyra addressed Bartłomiej Pejo. She recounted the stories of people who fled Ukraine under attack by Russia in 2014. She emphasized that "it was not a slip of the tongue." After these words, the guests began to shout over each other.

- I'm sorry, I can't hear anything, because the gentlemen decided to start a choir in this program. Will there be singing?! - asked Agnieszka Gozdyra, and then continued the topic of the migration pact and its possible termination.

The host asked about Karol Nawrocki's words, who stated that he would unilaterally terminate the migration pact. Błażej Poboży, instead of answering the question, started talking about Rafał Trzaskowski and reminded him of the lies he had told during the debate. He significantly exceeded the speaking time. At one point, Agnieszka Gozdyra quoted her grandmother's words, commenting on his attitude.

- There are limits. There is a time when I can do it. As my grandmother used to say: Even a pig won't eat too much of anything - she said.

- Do you want to offend me? I beg your pardon - said Błażej Poboży.

Błażej Poboży did not want to hear that it was just a quote. He claimed that he had been offended and demanded an apology. - You overdid it - he said.

- It wasn't about you. Please don't be offended. - said the host of the program.

- You crossed the line. Just as you repeatedly demand an apology, I now believe that you should apologize - he said.

Agnieszka Gozdyra finally said sorry, to which Błażej Poboży only replied "thank you".
