Ladies and gentlemen. The "We test not only mothers" campaign

On Saturday (24th May) a preventive action took place in the Hosso Shopping Gallery in Police as part of the nationwide campaign "We test not only moms". Police Amazons, the organizers of the local event, are taking part in the campaign for the third time, and for the second time they organized it in the Hosso Gallery.
The main goal of the campaign is to encourage women (but not only them) to undergo regular preventive examinations and breast self-examinations.
- Members of our association, as experienced women with a history of oncology, know best how important prevention is - said Julita Imirowicz, president of the Police Amazons Association, during the campaign. - That is why they encourage women here to have preventive, periodic tests, but also to self-control.
During the campaign, the Police Amazons showed how to properly perform a breast self-examination on a special dummy. Information leaflets were also distributed. The organizers emphasized that any change detected at an early stage of development is curable.
It is worth noting that the campaign also applies to men who also suffer from breast cancer, although this accounts for about 1% of cases. A male dummy was also available on site to raise awareness of the issue.
Although the pace of life in a shopping mall is fast and there is not much time for long conversations, the campaign focused on the quality of contact with interested people. As emphasized, no one is forced to participate, and the goal is to reach those who want to learn more and take care of their health.©℗
