Nawrocki appeals for a debate. This is how the clash before the second round is supposed to look like

The winner of the first round of the presidential election was Rafał Trzaskowski. According to the exit poll conducted by Ipsos for TVN, TVN and Polsat , the Civic Coalition candidate won 30.8 percent of the votes. Second place went to Karol Nawrocki. 29.1 percent of people voted for the candidate supported by Law and Justice.

Whether Trzaskowski will take the presidency or whether Nawrocki will come out on top will only become clear after the second round of the presidential election, which will take place on June 1. Before that, however, the KO and PiS candidates will face off in an election debate.

The date of the debate preceding the second round of the presidential elections has been known for several days now – it will take place on Wednesday, May 21, at 8 p.m. at the headquarters of Telewizja Polska at ul. Woronicza 17.

It will be available on TVP 1 and TVP Info, where there will be sign language translation, but also on TVN24, Polsat News and Polsat News Polityka. In addition, the signal from the debate will be made available for free to all interested media.

The debate will once again be led by journalists from TVP, TVN and Polsat. An invitation to participate was sent to all candidates on May 15 , and an organizational meeting on this matter has been scheduled for the post-election Monday, May 19, at 3 p.m. "During the meeting, the rules and course of the debate will be proposed and discussed," it was announced.

It is possible, however, that this will not be the only debate. Telewizja Republika has expressed its willingness to organize its own clash. The candidates are to meet on its air on Friday, May 23.

Nawrocki would like to combine both debates into one, which he said shortly after the exit poll results were announced. He then addressed Trzaskowski and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

– You often say that there is a place for every Pole under the Polish flag. So I call for one honest presidential debate to take place. And under the white and red flag there is a place for Telewizja Polska wkluczykowy, TVN, Polsat, Republika, wPolsce and Trwam – said the politician.
