Regular reports reaching our editorial office regarding the bus stops on Jagiellońska Street indicate that their current condition and appearance are unacceptable to residents, who, after all, travel across Poland and see what urban bus stop infrastructure can and should look like today. Exploring the issue last year, we inquired with the city council when the project for new bus stops on Jagiellońska Street, which was discussed back in 2023 and is now complete, would be implemented. We also inquired whether the city had secured funding for this project. It then transpired that plans to build new shelters, which had been touted in January 2023, had stalled due to a lack of funding. The local government announced that, having completed the design documentation, it would apply for funding, which would include, among other things, the following: The reconstruction of the "Plac Rybi" and "Plac Pilecki" bus stops under the European Funds for Eastern Poland Operational Programme 2021-2027, Measure FEPW.03.01 Sustainable Urban Mobility. The city intends to install the new displays while implementing plans to build new bus stops on Jagiellońska Street. The word "plans" seems key here, as these have been discussed since 2023... But they haven't materialized, as Councilor R. Kulej also pointed out in his motion...
