Scientific knowledge and practical actions for clean air. Do they go hand in hand?

On May 28 this year, a meeting was held at the Castle and Park Complex in Krasiczyn with Prof. Lidia Morawska, an outstanding scientist in the field of air quality research, Polish-Australian physicist, professor at the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), director of the International Laboratory for Air Quality and Health (ILAQH) at QUT, as well as a member of the Australian Academy of Sciences and an advisor to the World Health Organization.

The meeting was opened by the director of the Pro Arte Et Historia Foundation, Szczepan Łąka. Welcoming the guests and the outstanding researcher, he referred to the professor's achievements in improving the climate and air quality and emphasized the importance of her research on an international scale. The profile of Professor Lidia Morawska and her scientific achievements were presented by Dr. Małgorzata Wilgucka. During her lecture entitled "Scientific knowledge and practical actions for clean air: do they go hand in hand?", Professor Lidia Morawska discussed not only the results of her research, but also provided valuable tips on environmental protection and social education, as well as air quality control. At the end, a panel discussion was held with the participation of the guests and the professor. We thank the professor for the valuable dose of knowledge on the important topic of protecting our natural environment, and all guests for coming and the fruitful discussion. At the same time, we wish Professor Lidia Morawska many wonderful achievements in the scientific field and in her private life.
