The "I ❤️ ŻMIGRÓD" installation in the participatory budget – where could it be placed?

The "I ❤️ ŻMIGRÓD" project – submitted for this year's participatory budget – has generated significant interest in the local community. The idea involves installing two illuminated spatial installations bearing the inscription "I ❤️ ŻMIGRÓD" – one in the Market Square, the other in a recreational area. This is not only a symbol of local pride, but also a tourist attraction and a striking backdrop for photos that can promote the city on social media.
Initially, one of the planned locations was the Hatzfeld Palace Park. However, according to the project's authors, the provincial conservator of monuments did not approve the installation . Therefore, a search for alternative locations is underway.
The project organizers proposed two new locations that meet technical and aesthetic requirements while remaining accessible to residents and visitors:
"We want to ask you for your opinion – which place do you like best?" the project creators asked on their Facebook page.
They proposed the market square and the Sports and Recreation Center as possible locations. Their argument for the market square is as follows:
✔ The central point of the city – everyone passes here.
✔ The installation will be visible to residents and tourists.
✔ An ideal place to take photos and promote Żmigród on social media.
✔ Benefits for businesses – tourists visiting the installation will stop at cafes, grocery stores, kiosks, boutiques, and service outlets. The entire market square will gain more traffic and customers.
In their opinion, the following arguments support OSiR:
✔ Large sports and recreation area, without conservation restrictions.
✔ Lots of families, children and young people – a great meeting place.
✔ The installation will emphasize the modern, active character of the city.
✔ It can become an additional attraction during sporting events and festivals.
The post received 40 comments. Almost all of them expressed their desire to see the system released on the market.
In your opinion, where should it be?
