The best city in Poland to live in is Poznań, according to a ranking prepared by Business Insider. The low position of Warsaw, Krakow and Wrocław is surprising, as they have been replaced by smaller cities. The reason? Poor ratings in one of the key categories.

According to the ranking prepared by Business Insider , the best city to live in , as of the end of 2024, was Poznań . Right behind them were Rzeszów and Gdańsk . Just off the podium were Katowice and Łódź .

Although the capital of Wielkopolska triumphs in the ranking, it received the most points in only one category - the lowest unemployment . The ranking also took into account the average salary. Here, the leader turned out to be Kraków .

The next categories were air quality , which is the best in Gdańsk, and the lowest crime , which was recorded in Rzeszów. Łódź can boast the easiest access to public health care.

The poor result of the largest cities in Poland in terms of inhabitants - Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw - is primarily the result of low availability and high prices of apartments on the secondary market, which were also taken into account in the ranking.

The prices of both new apartments and premises on the secondary market in these cities are still significantly higher than those recorded in other provincial capitals.
