The end of traffic jams on Galika is getting closer. For now, temporary traffic organization

After the investment is completed, drivers will have two lanes at their disposal at the exit from Galik onto Słowackiego, which will definitely smooth out traffic. Until now, Galik, especially during rush hours, was very congested, which was caused by the so-called bottleneck at the junction of the two aforementioned streets. Those driving along Galik Street were forced to line up, because only at Słowackiego was it possible to take one of two directions - to Słowackiego or Pruchnicka Street. The situation was not made easier for drivers by the exit from the PKP railway station either. After the reconstruction, which has been long awaited, and the marking out of two independent lanes - for those turning left and going straight, all motorists traveling this route should breathe a sigh of relief. Pedestrians will also feel the benefits of the investment, because there will be a new paving stones. The contractor selected in the tender procedure from among eight bidders (the Bru-dróg company from Jarosław) will start by replacing the curbs and the pavement on the left side. The entire roadway will gain a fresh bituminous surface after the reconstruction. The horizontal and vertical markings will also be changed. The contractor has 90 days from the date of initialing the contract to complete the work in accordance with the tender assumptions.

All of these positives may be somewhat overshadowed by the information from the city authorities addressed to residents. Since the works will be carried out in the current direction of traffic, i.e. from Poniatowskiego Street to Słowackiego Street, users of four wheels will be forced to move along the passage leading through a fenced corridor. Pedestrian traffic, on the other hand, will be blocked for some time. It is therefore best to choose an alternative route. If this is not possible, it is better to arm yourself with patience and understanding.
