Polska Spółka Gazownictwa announced that it intends to replace over 1.38 million traditional bellows gas meters with modern, intelligent measuring devices with a remote data reading function.

The company explains that the eGazomierz project will include:

• recipients from the 3rd tariff group,
• will be completely free for them,
• the exchange itself will start in August and will last until December next year.

New gas meters have a remote reading function for gas consumption , so the collector will no longer have to come to visit. Recipients will be able to monitor their own gas consumption and - most importantly - pay only for consumption, not for forecasts.

This will increase the transparency of settlements, speed up the detection of possible irregularities and increase the level of security.
