This city is a symbol in the campaign. Who won in Końskie?

Years ago Grzegorz Schetyna said that " Elections are won in Końskie, not in Wilanów."
As he later explained: "I meant county Poland. Decisions are made there, that's what I wanted to express. Today's reality only confirms it" - this sentence stuck in the memory of Poles and subsequent candidates for the most important office in the country, who met there for the first official debate.
The 2025 presidential elections did not confirm this thesis, but they can serve as a political barometer of the political mood in local communities before the second round of elections.
Voting results: Karol Nawrocki's clear victoryAfter counting the votes, it turns out that Karol Nawrocki won in Końskie, supported by 39.96 percent of voters. This result may be an important signal before the second round.
Rafał Trzaskowski came second, with 27.38 percent of the votes. This is an increase compared to 2020, when he received 23.09 percent in the first round in Końskie – he was also second then, but the difference to the leader was much greater. Andrzej Duda triumphed then, with 54.01 percent of voters supporting him.
Top and lower places: clear advantage of the leadersIn third place was Sławomir Mentzen with a result of 11.68%, which translates into 2,023 votes. Right behind him was Grzegorz Braun with 5.16% (894 votes), and then Szymon Hołownia with 5.08% (880 votes). The similar support of these two candidates may indicate a similar level of electorate, although they differ in their campaign style and program.
The second half of the field included representatives of the Left: Magdalena Biejat, who won 3.92 percent of the votes (678), and Adrian Zandberg – 2.90 percent (502 votes). The last result above 1 percent was achieved by Krzysztof Stanowski, who obtained 1.24 percent (214 votes). The remaining candidates did not exceed the 1 percent threshold.
