Total disgrace. Mayor Długozim did not receive a vote of absolution and a vote of confidence

For the first time in the history of governing the Municipality of Trzebnica, Mayor Marek Długozima did not receive a discharge and a vote of confidence for 2024. Interestingly, his propaganda services announced otherwise. Now, Chairman Stanisz is trying to explain it. We present the backstage.
At the last session, which took place last Wednesday, August 25, councilors were able to familiarize themselves with the Report on the State of the Commune for 2024. They were also supposed to pass a resolution to grant the mayor a discharge and a vote of confidence for 2024. Mayor Marek Długozima first briefly discussed the report, and then the councilors could comment on it. Mayor Marek Długozima, in his introduction to the report, describes 2024 as "exceptional", in which residents "once again showed [him] their trust, entrusting [him] with continuing the local government mission for another term". However, this is a look through rose-tinted glasses that ignores serious problems - they wrote in a statement read out. They further noted that although the report tries to present a "sugary world" of achievements, it reveals disturbing trends.
Sławomir Ćwikła, who presented the councilors' position on behalf of the club, pointed to the municipality's huge debt, which in 2024 amounted to over PLN 107 million. The annual servicing of these liabilities alone, i.e. paying off various interest, costs around PLN 8 million. This money could be used to build several sports fields or village community centers annually, the councilors noted. In the meantime, we are giving them to banks. But that's not all......
