Ban on e-cigarettes for minors. There is a decision of the Sejm

The Sejm agreed to ban the sale of all types of e-cigarettes to minors. 428 MPs voted "for" and only one "against" - Norbert Kaczmarczyk from PiS. In turn, 10 MPs abstained.
The vote by the MPs was almost unanimous. 178 PiS MPs were "for" the adoption of the regulations, only Norbert Kaczmarczyk was against .
Among the voting MPs from the Civic Coalition , Robert Dowhan "abstained" . Six MPs from the Confederation did the same: Konrad Berkowicz, Sławomir Mentzen, Bartłomiej Pejo, Grzegorz Płaczek, Ryszard Wilk, Przemysław Wipler.
Paweł Kukiz, representing the Free Republicans, and two independent MPs: Włodzimierz Skalik and Roman Fritz also abstained from voting.

The new regulations will come into force on July 1. Restrictions will be introduced, including: a ban on the sale, advertising and use of these products in public places.

The draft amendments were prepared by the Ministry of Health. They include a total ban on the sale of electronic cigarettes , both those containing nicotine and those without nicotine, to persons under 18 years of age .

In addition, it also assumes that the use of electronic cigarettes with nicotine-free liquid (giving off vapor that does not contain nicotine) will be banned in public places where the use of electronic cigarettes with nicotine-containing liquid is currently banned. These include schools and kindergartens, public transport stops, restaurants and children's playgrounds .
MP Marta Golbik, who presented the bill, emphasized that the changes are "exceptionally pro-health" . She appealed for the regulations to come into force before the summer holidays.
