Sikorski with a new deputy. Marcin Bosacki will become the deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

As of Tuesday, MP Marcin Bosacki (KO) will be the new deputy minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced Polish diplomatic chief Radosław Sikorski on Monday.
Sikorski, asked on TVN24 whether he would reduce the number of ministerial positions during the government reconstruction, replied that the number of people in the ministry's management would change. He added, however, that it was not about reducing positions. "There were seven (deputy ministers - PAP), now there are six," said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"As of tomorrow, MP Marcin Bosacki will become the new deputy minister of foreign affairs," Sikorski said on Monday.
The head of Polish diplomacy did not rule out that the reduction would affect other ministries due to - as he said - "a record number of constitutional ministers".
"There is an old rule of management that if there are more than 12-13 people around the table, the discussion falls apart. We are almost halfway through the government, so this is the moment to rearrange the furniture. This is nothing new," Sikorski added.
Marcin Bosacki is a former spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a former ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Canada. He was also a senator of the 10th term and chairman of the KO club in the Senate. In the last parliamentary elections, he won the mandate of a member of parliament. He is a member of the KO club. Since January 2024, Bosacki has been the vice-chairman of the parliamentary committee for Pegasus.
In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the current Secretary of State is Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski and Andrzej Szejna, while the Undersecretaries of State are: Henryka Mościcka-Dendys, Anna Radwan-Röhrenschef, Marek Prawda and Robert Kupiecki. The Head of the Foreign Service and Director General is currently Rafał Wiśniewski. (PAP)
