Wall Street Journal: Trump's Smartphones Will Most Likely Come from China

Trump's company announced that gold smartphones, made entirely in the U.S., will soon go on sale. However, as the Wall Street Journal writes on Monday, the devices will most likely be imported from China, because it is not possible to produce them in the States at the presented price.
US President Donald Trump's company, the Trump Organization, announced on Monday the launch of a new mobile network Trump Mobile and gold T1 Phone smartphones. It was announced that the devices will be gold in color, and in some ways they are to be even better than the latest iPhone model. The price of the Trump smartphone is $ 499.
The company said the phones, which run on the Android operating system, are to be "proudly designed and manufactured in the USA. "
A Trump Organization spokesman suggested that the new phones would be manufactured in Alabama, California and Florida. However, Eric Trump, the president's son, indicated that the first batch of phones would not be made in the US, reported the "WSJ". "Ultimately, all of these phones could be manufactured in the US. We need to bring manufacturing back (to the US)," Trump's son stressed.
It is therefore likely that the phones will initially come from China, because at this price, only Chinese manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Oppo could fulfill the order, wrote the Wall Street Journal .
