Turkey also approached its maximum levels from a few weeks ago with a valuation of PLN 5,051 (its record is PLN 5,061) and Bulgaria with a rate of PLN 3,932 (the record is PLN 3,937). If the next week brings an increase - which is not ruled out due to the proximity of school holidays - we will probably be able to write about new maximum valuations, which have not been seen before.

Holidays in 2025 are 56 PLN more expensive than last year

Traveldata experts also compared the average price of a 2025 vacation with the average price from a year ago. It turned out that the latter was PLN 56 lower (a week earlier it was PLN 5 lower).

"The largest annual discounts on tour prices were once again recorded in the Chalkidiki Peninsula - by PLN 903, and smaller ones in Sardinia and Lanzarote - by PLN 621 and PLN 602 respectively.

The largest annual increases in travel prices this time again occurred in Malta - by PLN 1,414, and in Portugal and Calabria - by an average of PLN 760 and PLN 317, respectively," we read in the report.

The authors of the analysis also asked themselves about the impact of the two most important factors on the costs of trips – the prices of aviation fuel and the exchange rates of the main currencies. As they report, the price of aviation fuel was PLN 2.65/litre last week compared to PLN 3.46/litre, which was 23.4 percent lower than a year ago (the price was lower by 17.2 percent a week ago, and by 22.2 percent two weeks ago). In turn, the złoty remained stronger against the dollar and the euro last week than a year ago. The difference in its favor was 1.8 percent (it was stronger by 1.5 percent a week ago, and by 1 percent two weeks ago).

As a result, the impact of these two factors on the average change in costs was favourable for travel organisers. It was contained in a significantly favourable range of -165 to -175 PLN (more favourable than a week ago, when it was between -120 and -130 PLN, and two weeks ago, when it was between -135 and -145 PLN).
