In the current atmosphere and political situation in Poland, raising the issue of reconciliation must be downright embarrassing. Indeed, reconciliation has now become, alongside "non-governmental organization" or "civil society," perhaps one of the most depraved concepts by political conflict.
It became a promise that was not only empty, but also downright cynical. With each successive stage of the Polish-Polish war, we heard false assurances that this time the winner would definitely bring about national reconciliation.
