Mazovia: a complex of orphanages was built for PLN 7.6 million

The ceremonial opening of the new facility took place on June 5 this year with the participation of the Deputy Marshal of Mazovia, Rafał Rajkowski - informed the press office of the Marshal's Office of the Mazovian Voivodeship.
The investment cost amounted to over PLN 7.4 million, of which almost PLN 2 million was provided by the local government of the Masovian Voivodeship from the “Mazowsze for balanced development” programme, PLN 4.2 million were funds from the Polish Deal Government Fund, and almost PLN 1.2 million was the Lipsko district’s own contribution.
The complex consists of four modern buildings. Three of them will house children.As part of the investment, four twin buildings were erected, three of which were intended exclusively for the pupils of PZPPDiR in Sienna, while the fourth one houses a psychological and pedagogical counselling centre.

Each of the new houses has: a kitchen with a pantry and a scullery, a dining room combined with a living room, a laundry room with a drying room, a coordinator's room and spacious, double rooms and bathrooms. In total, 14 children will live in each house.
In addition, as part of the project "Nature-friendly gardens", the area around the children's homes was developed and an ecological garden was created. New trees, shrubs, mountain pines, ornamental grasses and perennials appeared. The flowerbeds were aesthetically finished with aggregate and bark.
Rain gardens have been planned in the house complexRain gardens were also used. By using the natural topography, rainwater collected from the gutters flows into an underground tank and then feeds the garden, supporting sustainable water management.
The provincial government allocated over PLN 183.8 thousand for this investment under the “Mazowsze for Climate” program.
