The footballers of the newcomer from Skolwin drew goalless with the reserves of the first league ŁKS and secured the right to play in the play-offs for promotion to the first league, while the players from Łódź remained on the second front. In August, both teams will meet in Skolwin in the rematch, in... the preliminary round of the Polish Cup.

The Łódź team responded with a shot just past the post by Patryk Grabowski and an individual action by Kacper Popławski, which fortunately ended only with a corner kick. In the first half, the closest we came to a goal was in the 41st minute, when Ropski hit the crossbar with a situational shot from a few meters.

After the break, the advantage of coach Tomasz Kafarski's team was evident and after a corner kick Obst had a chance to score, and ŁKS II responded with a dangerous, slightly inaccurate shot by Marcel Wszołek. In the 69th minute, after a corner kick, Straus headed just wide of the post, and seven minutes later, Ropski's close-range shot was defended with great difficulty by Jakub Pawlak. A minute later, Kapelusz shot very strongly, and after the goalkeeper's intervention, the ball crossed the goal line with most of it, but the referees decided that it did not do so all the way around and did not recognize the goal, but ordered the game to continue.

Before the match, it was known that if Świt wanted to be sure of playing in the play-offs for promotion to the Ekstraklasa, they had to win against the Łódź reserves, but the results of other matches were such that a draw was also enough for the Szczecin team to take 5th place in the play-offs. On Thursday at 6 p.m. in Chojnice, Świt will play in the semi-finals of the play-offs with the local Chojniczanka, with whom they drew twice in the regular season, 1:1. In the second match of the 1/2 finals on the same day at 3 p.m. in Krakow, the local Wieczysta will face KKS 1925 Kalisz. The play-off final is scheduled for Sunday (3 p.m.) on the pitch of the team ranked higher after the 34th round.

Rematch in the Polish Cup

On Wednesday, August 6, Skolwin will host a preliminary round match of the Polish Football Cup, in which Świt Szczecin will host ŁKS II Łódź, so it will be a rematch of Saturday's league match. The pairings in the preliminary round of the Polish Cup are established in such a way that the teams from positions 17-18 in the first league and the second league teams are arranged in accordance with the positions occupied at the end of the season, and the highest seeded team plays the lowest seeded team, etc. The first round of the Polish Cup, with the participation of the Ekstraklasa teams, the remaining first league teams, the winners of the Polish Cup at the provincial level, and the winners of the preliminary round, will take place on September 24. Lech Poznań, Legia Warsaw, Raków Częstochowa, and Jagiellonia Białystok, as teams participating in European cup competitions, are exempt from playing in the first round.
