Here is the leader of the Polish women's volleyball team. The team's victorious opening of the season

The quarter-finalists of last year's Olympic tournament in Paris started with a deficit in the score, but they were able to control their emotions and get back on track quite quickly. The Poles lost to the Bulgarians 18:25, and then won the next three sets, 25:13, 25:18 and 25:18.

The Polish women won against the Bulgarians. A successful performance by Martyna Czyrniańska

Coach Stefano Lavarini has chosen the following lineup for the first match: Agnieszka Korneluk and Weronika Centka-Tetianiec in the middle, Julita Piasecka and Martyna Czyrniańska in the reception, Malwina Smarzek in the attack, Alicja Grabka and libero Aleksandra Szczygłowska will play the game. The first of these players has been chosen as the team captain for the 2025 season. The experienced middle blocker was chosen the best Tauron Liga volleyball player in the 2024/25 season during the PLS gala a few days ago.

Looking at the names mentioned, it is clear that the coach will be looking for new solutions in the context of the present and future of the Polish national team.

Czyrniańska can be noted as a plus for the win against the Bulgarians. The receiver played the entire match. The Pole scored the most, 21 points in the four-set match. Czyrniańska received the most balls on the Polish side (28 with an efficiency of 61%), and also attacked the most (30 times with an efficiency of 63%), being the clear leader of the team.

Korneluk's performance must also be appreciated. The center and team captain scored 13 points, showing off four effective blocks.

It is worth adding that coach Lavarini did not include Magdalena Stysiak (she came on during the match) or Martyna Łukasik (she did not appear on the pitch) in the starting line-up. However, the Polish team will play two more matches in Koszalin, so there will certainly be an opportunity to see most or all of those present at the training camp.

On Saturday, the Polish team will play against the Swedes (7:00 p.m.), and on Sunday against the French team (6:30 p.m.), to close the tournament for the Koszalin President's Cup.
