Górnik Zabrze strengthened their position at the top of the Ekstraklasa table with a resounding 5-1 victory over Arka Gdynia. Despite this defeat, the newly promoted team remains above the relegation zone, holding a five-point lead over Lechia Gdańsk and Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza. Piast Gliwice rounds out the league table with just eight points.
Wisła Płock's second-place finish was also a major surprise. Mariusz Misiura's team was only just promoted to the Ekstraklasa, but they are ready to compete for European competition. Cracovia, on the other hand, was disappointed, managing only a draw against Zagłębie Lubin.

Jagiellonia Białystok, in third place, remains in contention for the title. Adrian Siemienic's team also has a game in hand and is five points behind Górnik. The Białystok team has made their task more difficult with two defeats in their last two league matches.
