Robert Lewandowski's shocking transfer. The Pole has just revealed the details.

However, we'd like to reassure FC Barcelona fans right away, because in the case of "Lewy" in the British Isles, we're talking about... memories from over a decade ago. It was this period, among other things, that was revisited in an interview with Robert Lewandowski, which the Pole gave to the renowned and respected BBC Sport.
Robert Lewandowski reveals details about the sensational transfer. The Pole has been playing in the German Bundesliga since the 2010/11 season. His first club was Borussia Dortmund. Lewandowski admitted that the opportunity to move from Germany to England arose quite quickly.
The club RL9 wanted to move to was Manchester United. It was 2012.
"I was determined and said 'yes' to Manchester United. I wanted to join this club, meet Alex Ferguson. I might regret not playing in the Premier League. But looking back, after playing for Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and now Barcelona, I have to say I'm happy with my career. I don't feel like I missed out on anything. I made every decision because I wanted to, not because someone forced me," the Pole admitted in an interview.
Ultimately, Lewandowski stayed in Germany until the summer of 2022. After the 2013/14 season, he moved to Bayern Munich, where he spent the 2014-22 period. This was followed by a transfer to Spain, specifically FC Barcelona.
Interestingly, "Lewy" mentioned during an interview with BBC Sport that BVB decided against selling the Pole to United, wanting to increase the price slightly in the coming years, knowing the increasing value of their most dangerous striker. Ultimately, as we know, the Dortmund club didn't fare well, as in the summer of 2014, Lewandowski left for Bayern on a free transfer.
It must be admitted, however, that the very prospect of seeing a Pole in the realities of the most demanding league on the Old Continent would be something very interesting.
