Two hits and a Polish accent. Here's what awaits us in the Champions League.

The Parisians were unrivaled last season, both domestically and in Europe. Their dominance was confirmed in the Champions League final, where they defeated Inter Milan 5-0 on May 31st.

They're showing no signs of slowing down in the Champions League this season, leading the 36-team table with nine points and a best-ever goal difference of 13-3. They're also top of the French top flight, although they've won "only" seven of their 11 matches there.

Two Champions League hits. Fans are already on edge.

On Tuesday evening, they'll host a team that's been even more impressive this season. Bayern also have a perfect record in the Champions League and are second in the table (12-2 goals), while in the Bundesliga, they're unrivaled—nine wins in nine matches, plus an incredible 33-4 goal difference.

Since the start of the season, the Bavarians have already won 15 times in all competitions. No other club in Europe's top leagues has had such a successful start. The previous record was held by AC Milan in 1992/93, who won their first 13 matches.

In the last round of the Bundesliga, Bayern defeated Bayern Leverkusen 3-0, although the team's and the entire competition's top scorer, Harry Kane, started on the bench and came on after an hour of play.

"Of course we play better when he's on the pitch with us, but we'll have Harry in top form in Paris," said Bayern coach Vincent Kompany.

"I felt it was a good moment for the other guys. Now we can go into the match against PSG without worrying about our fitness. Tuesday's match will be at its highest possible intensity. In my opinion, the highest in Europe," he added.

The great return to Anfield

Apart from PSG and Bayern, Piotr Zieliński's Inter Milan, who will host Kairat Almaty on Wednesday, Arsenal London (they will play Slavia in Prague on Tuesday) and the 15-time champions of the competition, Real Madrid, can boast full points after three rounds of the Champions League.

And Tuesday's match featuring the "Royal" is the second big match of the fourth round. Coach Xabi Alonso's men will face the English champions, Liverpool, away.

The hosts started the season brilliantly, but then struggled, losing six of their seven matches in all competitions. Saturday's 2-0 victory over Aston Villa will put them in a slightly better frame of mind for the clash with Real Madrid.

This will be a special match for Liverpool alumnus Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined Madrid this season. The 27-year-old defender can expect a very lukewarm reception at Anfield, although he stressed that no hostility from the fans will dampen his love for the Reds.

"I will always love this club and will always be a fan. No matter what, my feelings for Liverpool will not change. I have memories there that will last a lifetime, and no matter how the fans receive me, that won't change," Alexander-Arnold emphasized.

Despite Liverpool's weaker performance, he and his Real Madrid teammates absolutely do not underestimate their rivals.

— Although they haven't achieved good results lately, they are still a top team and no one thinks it will be an easy match — assured the English player of the "Royal".

Two Polish referees on the pitch

The upcoming Champions League round will be a busy one for Polish referees. Damian Sylwestrzak will referee Tuesday's match in Norway, Bodoe/Glimt, against AS Monaco, while a day later Szymon Marciniak will be the referee for the intriguing clash between Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund.

The Citizens and Borussia Dortmund each collected 7 points. There will be no shortage of excitement, and an additional bonus is the fact that the English team's star striker, Norwegian Erling Haaland, arrived there from BVB in 2022.

Barcelona, with six points, and Wojciech Szczęsny and Robert Lewandowski returning from injury, who featured late in Sunday's 3-1 league match against Elche, will be the clear favorites in Wednesday's away match against Club Brugge. The Belgian team has lost its last two Champions League regular season matches.

Dominik Sarapata's FC Copenhagen will play Tottenham Hotspur in London on Tuesday. A day later, goalkeeper Mateusz Kochalski's Karabakh Agdam will host Chelsea FC, while Nicola Zalewski's Atalanta Bergamasca will face Olympique Marseille away.

Teams finishing in places 1-8 in the league phase will qualify directly for the Round of 16. Teams finishing in places 9-24 will compete in a playoff to advance to the Round of 16. The remaining teams will be eliminated.

The final of the current edition of the Champions League is scheduled for May 30 in Budapest.
