No Polish woman of her age has ever done this. The 19-year-old has climbed to the roof of the world
Climbing Mount Everest is a dream for many people, including travelers and athletes. Some people even make controversial decisions to climb it and want to complete a difficult expedition in a week . Zoja Skubis decided on a more sensible tactic and gave herself more time. She took care of the appropriate preparation, support and equipment. On May 18 at 11:38, she became the youngest Polish woman to stand on the so-called roof of the world.
The youngest Polish woman conquered Mount EverestZoja announced her intention to climb Mount Everest in February 2025. Since then, she has been the talk of the town. Some encouraged her in this idea, others were skeptical. Although the young Pole has already accomplished a lot – one of the greatest so far was conquering the eight-thousander Manaslu in the Himalayas – her passion for the mountains still stirs emotions. A few days ago, she proved to everyone that young age does not have to be an obstacle to achieving great things.
The youngest conqueror of Mount Everest in Poland boasted about her success on her Instagram profile. There we can see photos of one of the most beautiful peaks in the world and Zoja herself, happy, holding a white and red flag. In her post, she did not forget to thank her loved ones, who showed her invaluable support during this time.
The Pole informed that she did not prepare for the expedition with lightning speed. She revealed that each of her previous actions was a step thanks to which she was now able to fulfill her dream.
"I've been in Nepal for two months, but my expedition started a long time ago. This peak is the most beautiful, possible culmination of all my preparations, sacrifices, training, tears and nerves," Zoja describes in an Instagram post.
Many Poles were interested in the 19-year-old's expedition. When she shared the good news, Internet users immediately flooded her profile with positive comments. There was no shortage of congratulations and words of disbelief. "Congratulations! Strength is a Woman" "Bravo", "You are a great girl, super" - these are just some of the many sentences that appeared under the post. How do you assess this type of achievement?
