Not Türkiye at all. This summer the Russians will storm this country

Due to the war in Ukraine, many Poles would rather not spend their holidays in the company of Russian tourists. They, despite the many sanctions imposed on their country, travel quite freely around Europe, but they are also looking for new experiences.
Where can we meet Russians on holiday? For years, Turkey has welcomed Russians with open arms and remains a top tourist destination for travelers from this country. However, the Travel and World Tour portal has noted a new leader in growth for the summer of 2025 – Vietnam. This summer, the Asian country will be visited by 140% more Russians than in 2024 – it is estimated that this could be from half a million to a million tourists . Compared to this number, the 15% increase in arrivals to Turkey looks much more pale.
This is due to a “surge” of new charter flights and an increase in regular flights from Russia to Vietnam, especially to places like Nha Trang and the island of Phu Quoc , also beloved by Poles. In May, Vietnam Airlines officially resumed direct flights between Hanoi and Moscow after a three-year break. Strategic partnerships between Russian tour operators and Vietnamese airlines also play a major role.
Tour operators quickly sensed the interest and potential of the Asian destination, adding more packages and promotions to their offer.
Travel to Vietnam is the new hitWhat else is driving Russians’ renewed interest in travel? The rising value of their currency – in April, the ruble saw the world’s biggest gain in 2025, surpassing even gold. Citizens of the country are also exempt from visa requirements for 45 days. According to the latest estimates, about 6.4 million Russians will travel abroad for tourism or business this summer. That’s a significant increase from 5.15 million travelers last year, when many Russians couldn’t afford to go on vacation.
