Slovaks are pushing the boundaries of technology. In 2026, they will present the world with a flying car

Dreams of a flying car will finally come true. The AirCar from Slovakian company Klein Vision will go on sale early next year.
How to make a flying car ? When playing with children, it is very simple. Just open the doors of the car, which "supposedly" become wings. I know, I tested it. But in reality it turns out to be a bit more difficult.
But it seems that we managed to do it, and it was our Slovakian neighbors from Klein Vision who did it. The AirCar is a sports car that can fly. What's more, you'll be able to buy it next year!

The first prototype of the vehicle was built in 2021. Since then, it has completed 500 take-offs and – more importantly! – landings and a total of 170 flight hours.
As we learn from New Atlas , the latest and final version of the vehicle is set to make its test flight in September. If everything goes according to plan, it will then receive Part 23/CS-23 certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency . What's next? Production. When? Most likely early next year!
Okay, but what does the transformation of a car into a plane look like in practice? Exactly as you imagine!
As Anton Zajac , co-founder of Klein Vision , explained in an interview with New Atlas , all you have to do is line up on the runway, press a button on the steering wheel, which after a moment turns into a yoke. The car's wings rise, unfold and lock into position at a span of about 8.2 meters, the tail extends, and the 3.2-liter V6 engine is disconnected from the wheels and connected to the rear pusher propeller. It all takes... 80 seconds.

The cruising speed of the AirCar in the air is 135 knots, or about 250 kilometers per hour , and on the road the machine will reach 200 kilometers per hour . On a full tank the vehicle will fly about a thousand kilometers. It will travel a little less, because 800 kilometers. It can be refueled at regular gas stations.
It looks like those with bigger wallets will soon be able to get their own flying car. The founders of Klein Vision assure that the vehicle will be ready for sale in the first quarter of 2026.
These won't be cheap, though. The price of this unique vehicle is expected to be between $800,000 and $1.2 million.
