The Polish land tempts with attractions. It is the largest such concentration in Europe

The name loess gorges means nothing to you, and the aforementioned land seems mysterious? It is about elongated, concave landforms with steep slopes and a flat bottom. Most of them in our country can be found in the Lublin region. It is for this reason that the area in the western part of the Lublin province, on the north-western edge of the Lublin Upland, was named the Land of Loess Gorges.

This is what the land hides within

The Land of Loess Gorges includes many places. Some, such as the city of Nałęczów, are very well known to us. After all, we are talking about a health resort full of healing waters and comfortable sanatoriums. In addition, the region includes two Landscape Parks - Kazimierski and Wrzelowiecki and many reserves. We are also talking about quarries located, among others, in Kazimierz Dolny, Nasiłów and Kaliszany-Kolonia.

Another recommended place is Albrechtówka Hill, from which you can admire the Vistula Valley and the Castle in Janowiec, as well as the Three Crosses Mountain. The list also includes horse studs in Wojciechów, Kęble and Kraczewice, Nordic walking routes leading through the most beautiful gorges, such as Korzeniowy Dół, Lipinki, Kwaskowa Góra and Norowy Dół, or kayaking trips on the Vistula or Chodelka.

These are not only ideal places to admire, but above all to spend time actively. Many trails have been marked out there, leading through picturesque gorges of various lengths, depths and vegetation. Thanks to this, we can count on completely different experiences everywhere, and boredom is not a threat.

A unique area in Europe

Many tourists do not realize that the Land of Loess Gorges is a unique region in Europe. It is difficult to find another place with such large concentrations of such gorges. Importantly, it has recently gained the title of Polish Tourist Brand. This is a prestigious project implemented by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism in cooperation with the Polish Tourist Organization. Today, Poland is trying to present this area from the best side, ensuring its popularity abroad as well.
