Académica/OAF players helped out at the Solidarity Kitchen

Académica/OAF players Vasco Gomes and Elvis took part in another charity event today. As they had done a few months ago, the two players visited the Associação Integrar’s Charity Kitchen where they helped distribute dinner to the city’s most needy people. “These are very enriching initiatives on a personal level. They give us perspectives on other realities that often go unnoticed in our daily lives. Therefore, it is undoubtedly something very enriching for everyone and we enjoy taking part”, Vasco Gomes stated in statements to Diário de Coimbra.
Regarding the team's current form, the midfielder acknowledges that the team did not start the Maintenance Phase in the best possible way, but he is confident that better days will come: “We did not start the way we would have liked, but we have been in worse phases before, we turned things around and this time will be no different. Maybe in the past we would have had two shots and the ball would always go in, we were in a positive phase. Maybe now the ball takes a little longer to go in and it goes into our goal more easily. But we are very resilient and we will undoubtedly overcome this because we are a very strong group”.
