Albufeira: Tonight there's a «FULLMOON» at Praia da Galé

Following the success of previous editions, the lunar cycle celebration returns to Albufeira. Art, culture, crafts, and plenty of entertainment are the ingredients for another edition of the event, which has been held for almost three decades.

Today, the full moon celebrations return to Praia da Galé. The festivities, now in their 27th year, are part of the Albufeira municipality's cultural program for another tourist season.

This Thursday, the venue's doors are scheduled to open at 6:00 p.m. Local artisans will be on-site to showcase their work. The space also features street entertainment, music, photo booths, and circus arts demonstrations.

The musical performances are scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m. Isabel Carvalhaes will open the program with the show "Violin," which will accompany the sunset on the sand.

Next up are performances by DJ China, John Andrews 1st, Jay Martin and DJ Gorelha.

Throughout the night, there will also be performances by Gil Abrantes and Singer Supaglow, as well as a Fire Show by Sofia Brito.

The second night of "FULLMOON" takes place on August 8th, with a similar program. Artists DJ China, Sofia Brito, and Isabel Carvalhaes will repeat the performances scheduled for the first night. The lineup also includes names such as Zé Balck B2B Gonazelez, Bruno Zarra, and Estela Mota.

The event has helped liven up summer nights in the municipality, during the peak tourist season. Admission is free.

The initiative is organized by Albufeira City Council.
