Guarda City Council approved revision of the regulation for granting social support

The Guarda City Council has approved the opening of a procedure to review the regulations governing the allocation of social support. The decision was approved at the municipal executive meeting on 28 April and will cover several regulations, some in force for seven years, others for ten and others for even longer.
The mayor explained that the rules for granting support in various areas, such as housing, medicines and birth rates, will be reviewed. Sérgio Costa said that another step will be taken for the municipality to adapt to the best that is being done across the country.
“This time we decided to start the procedure for the preparation and review, as appropriate, of the allocation of social support at various levels, whether at the housing level, thus adapting what already exists to what is being practiced in the country, with the Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation, with the PRR, but also with regard to support for medicines, support for some expenses that we have to allocate, support for births that will be included in these regulations”, he explained.
