Swiatek and Anisimova to decide women's singles at Wimbledon

Tennis players Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova advanced this Thursday (10) to the final of the women's singles at the Wimbledon Grand Slam in England.
Facing Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, current world number 1, who dreamed of winning the event for the first time in her career, American Anisimova (12th), 23 years old, defeated her opponent by 2 sets to 1, with partial scores of 3/6, 6/4 and 6/4, in just over two and a half hours of duel on the English lawn.
Anisimova, in turn, recorded her best campaign in Majors since the 2019 edition of Roland Garros, in France, when she reached the semifinals of the mega event.
In the other semifinal of the competition, the intense heat in London did not stop Poland's Swiatek (4th) from crushing Switzerland's Belinda Bencic (35th). With a "tire", the tennis player won 2 sets to 0, with partial scores of 6-2 and 6-0.
Holder of five Grand Slams, including four titles at Roland Garros, Swiatek advanced to the next round after just over an hour of play at Wimbledon.
The decision is scheduled to take place next Saturday (12).
