Aveiro Music Festival has its first competition today

Two more qualifying rounds are planned (on the 25th, at the Casa de Cultura de Aradas, and on the 8th of November, at the Emblemático e Original de Oliveira de Azeméis) and, on the 15th of November, the grand final, at the Mercado do Peixe de Aveiro. In this first round, which takes place at Hard Bar, in Bustos, seven musical projects with diverse sounds, ranging from “alternative rock to indie and experimental fusion” will take to the stage at 8 pm: João Gomes, Moonchausen by Roxy, Prottobläster, Fort Benny, Spoken Psy, QARA and, finally, 1poucodesol. The artists will be judged by a jury composed of three renowned names in the music and artistic scene. They are Zetó Rodrigues, musician, teacher, and director of the Aveiro Music Workshop, with extensive experience in music training and direction; Paul Da Silva, singer, composer, and former
-lead singer of The Paperboats, a band that won over the national public with the album Surviving the Flood, leader of the MTV Portugal and Vodafone Music charts, and, finally, Susie Filipe, actress and drummer, founder of the bands Moonshiners, SIRICAIA and Sangue Suor.
