PSI closes higher as energy stocks boost stocks

The PSI closed this Tuesday, a holiday on June 10, up +0.94% to 7,495.22 points and the stars of the session were EDP Renováveis (+2.21% to 9.49 euros); REN (+2.21% to 3.005 euros); Galp (+2.09% to 15.60 euros); and EDP (+1.72% to 3.599 euros).
Also with increases above 1% were Jerónimo Martins (+1.41% to 21.54 euros); Altri (+1.56% to 5.2 euros); and Ibersol (+1.01% to 10 euros).
On the other hand, the falls affected three stocks. BCP led the way with a loss of -1.59%, closing at 0.6676 euros; The Navigator, which lost -0.18% to 3.338 euros; and Mota-Engil, which fell -0.05% to 4.192 euros. The construction company announced on Monday a new contract in the Republic of Armenia worth around 700 million dollars.
In Europe, the Stoxx 600 fell 0.022% and the EuroStoxx 50 fell 0.11% to 5,415.38 points.
The main European markets closed without a defined trend. The FTSE rose 0.24% to 8,853 points; the CAC 40 rose 0.17% to 7,804.3 points; the DAX fell 0.77% to 23,987.6 points; the FTSE MIB in Milan fell 0.63% to 40,207.6 points; and the Spanish IBEX lost 0.21% to 14,221.1 points.
Trade war negotiations – which are taking place in London for the second day, with representatives from China and the US – are in the focus of investors.
In the sovereign debt market, there was a 4.21 basis point drop in 10-year German debt to 2.52%. 10-year Portuguese debt fell 5.06 basis points to 2.98%.
On the other side of the Atlantic, 10-year US debt fell 0.10 basis points to a yield of 4.47%.
The euro falls 0.02% to $1.1420.
