After assuming a new love, he receives indirect messages from his ex-girlfriend April Ivy? "They look so good together..."

Singer April Ivy is back with a new song and the lyrics didn't go unnoticed. On social media, the 25-year-old Portuguese artist shared an excerpt from the song and reactions quickly followed. Her followers were quick to interpret the lyrics as possible indirect references to her ex-boyfriend, Rúben Dias, who in recent days (finally) confirmed his relationship with Maya Jama .

The song begins with a direct reference to an image that many believe refers to the recent photographs of Rúben Dias with the British presenter. In the new song, we hear:

"I saw a picture. You two look so good together. You look so happy. Just like you two say. I created a creature. He learned everything from me. Then he became a danger and left."

"I gave you your perfume"

But the alleged barbs don't stop there, insinuating that several aspects of the ex-partner's new life were shaped during his relationship with the artist herself:

"I'll put it in context, what you see doesn't come from thin air. I know you'll love what I was getting tired of. I bought the way he dresses. I gave him his perfume. I showed him the song he loves. That's me, but maybe it's yours."

In the comments, the artist's followers have no doubts about the song's target audience. "Forget him when you're this pretty without him" and "Mega relatable" multiplied, further fueling speculation about the inspiration behind the song.

It is worth remembering that April Ivy and Rúben Dias had a two-year relationship, which would come to an end in 2021. If Rúben Dias recently started a new romance, April Ivy has also been engaged for a year and a half. The young woman found love with tennis player Renato Van Veggel , whom she began dating in August 2023.
