Fox News host judge appointed by Trump

Pirro was elected in 1990 as a judge on the Westchester County Circuit Court in New York before serving three terms as the county's elected district attorney.
“In addition to her legal career, Jeanine hosted her own Fox News show for ten years, and is currently co-host of The Five, one of the highest-rated shows on television,” the US President said.
Pirro's appointment, which is an interim appointment, was announced after Trump withdrew a first candidate, conservative activist Ed Martin Jr., following complaints among Republicans.
At issue is Martin's defense of the pro-Trump protesters who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Martin “is a fantastic person and he wasn’t getting the support from the people that I thought he was,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office on Thursday.
He later added: “But we have someone else who will be great.”
Pirro, who has defended Trump's policies on issues such as immigration on her show, is the latest in a series of appointments by the US president from the conservative Fox News channel - a list that includes Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
